Denne artikel beskriver en protokol, der skal forenkle processen og gøre fremstillingen af autologt konditioneret serum (ACS) billigere. Der kræves ingen specielle sprøjter eller overfladebelagte glasperler. Desuden har den modificerede ACS (mACS) konkurrencemæssige fordele i forhold til konventionelt autologt serum i hornhindesårheling af murine øjne ex vivo.
