He received his M.D and Ph.D from Korea University, South Korea. His clinical appointment is attending surgeon in Korea University Guro hospital, Seoul, South Korea. His research interests are peripheral nerve injury and regeneration. As a visiting scholar (2018 to 2019) in Elfar's lab at the Center for Orthopaedic Research and Translational Science (CORT), Pennsylvania State University, PA, he studied the murine model of peripheral nerve injury, pharmacological or surgical methods to promote nerve regeneration.
