Se describe un inmunoensayo simple para medir la producción de citoquinas pro-inflamatorias, como IL-1 beta, en pacientes con fenotipos autoinflamatoria. Mediante la activación de las células en cultivos de sangre total con el patógeno patrones moleculares asociados, específicamente con lipopolisacárido, la secreción de citoquinas puede ser convenientemente evaluada en los sobrenadantes de sangre total.
