Vi presenterar förfaranden för att påvisa att ligander binder till ytan membranet i protozoer cellulosa-smälta protozoer i tarmen av Formosan underjordiska termiter med fluorescerande mikroskopi och att ligander tillsammans med lytisk peptider dödar dessa<em> In vitro</em> (Anaerob protozoer kultur) och<em> In vivo</em> (Injektion i termit hindgut).
