We beschrijven het proces van het isoleren van hoge zuiverheid herpesvirus nucleocapside DNA van geïnfecteerde cellen. De uiteindelijke DNA veroverd op oplossing is van de hoge concentratie en zuiverheid, waardoor het bij uitstek geschikt voor high-throughput sequencing, high fidelity PCR-reacties, en transfecties om nieuwe virale recombinanten te produceren.
