Carcinoma associato fibroblasti (CAF), ricco di miofibroblasti presenti nello stroma del tumore, svolgono un ruolo importante nel guidare la progressione del tumore. Abbiamo sviluppato un tumore modello coimplantation xengraft per generare sperimentalmente CAF da fibroblasti umani mammaria. Il protocollo descrive come stabilire miofibroblasti CAF che acquisiscono la capacità di promuovere la tumorigenesi.
