Isotachophoresis (ITP) er en robust elektrokinetiske separation og preconcentration teknik med ansøgninger fra toksin afsløring til prøveforberedelse. Vi gennemgår de fysiske principper for ITP, og den metode at anvende denne teknik til to specifikke eksempel programmer: adskillelse og detektion af små molekyler og oprensning af nukleinsyrer fra cellekultur lysat.
