Nós descrevemos o isolamento rápido de murinos primários células tipo II alveolares epiteliais (AECII) por meio de seleção por citometria de fluxo negativo. Estes AECII mostram viabilidade e pureza elevados e são adequadas para uma ampla gama de estudos funcionais e moleculares relativas ao seu papel em condições respiratórias, tais como doenças auto-imunes ou infecciosas.
