De gist mitochondriale nucleoid eiwit, Mgm101, is een rad52-soort recombinatie eiwit dat grote oligomere ringen vormt. Een protocol wordt beschreven aan oplosbare recombinant Mgm101 bereiden met behulp van de maltosebindingseiwit (MBP)-tagging strategie in combinatie met kationuitwisseling en size exclusion chromatografie.
