I sensori di fluorescenza sono strumenti potenti nella scienza della vita. Qui si descrive un metodo per sintetizzare ed utilizzare sensori fluorescenti basato dendrimero-per misurare il pH nelle cellule viventi e in vivo. L'impalcatura dendritiche esalta le proprietà dei coloranti fluorescenti coniugati che conducono al miglioramento delle caratteristiche di rilevamento.
