Een N-butyl-N-(4-hydroxybutyl) nitrosamine-geïnduceerde blaaskanker model werd ontwikkeld in humane mucine 1 (MUC1) transgene muizen voor de beproeving van de MUC1-gerichte immunotherapie. Na toediening van een MUC1-gericht peptide vaccin was een cytotoxische T-lymfocyt respons tegen MUC1 bevestigd door metingen van serum cytokinen en T-cel-specifieke activiteit.
