Ammoniakfiberexpansion (AFEX) är en termomkemisk förbehandlingsteknik som kan omvandla lignocellulosisk biomassa (t.ex. majsspis, rishalm och sockerrörspåse) till en lättsmält råvara för både biobränslen och djurfoder. Här beskriver vi en laboratorieskala metod för att genomföra AFEX förbehandling på lignocellulosabiomassa.
