Dette manuskriptet beskriver en protokoll for å studere antimikrobielle effekten av 5-aminolevulinic syre-mediert Fotodynamisk terapi (ALA-PDT) på en Staphylococcus aureus biofilm. Denne protokollen kan brukes til å utvikle en i vitro modell for å studere behandling av bakterielle biofilm med PDT i fremtiden.
