Descrevemos um sistema que utiliza três métodos para avaliar a segurança e a eficácia da entrega da droga placenta-alvo: no vivo de imagem para monitorar o acúmulo de nanopartículas, ultra-som de alta frequência para monitorar o desenvolvimento placentário e fetal e HPLC para quantificar a entrega da droga ao tecido.
