Dit artikel demonstreert de techniek van het uitbreiden van een traditionele, twee-dimensie (2D) electrospun nanofiber mat in een drie-dimensie (3D) steiger door de drukverlaging subkritische CO2 vloeistof. Deze augmented steigers zijn 3D, nauw mimic cellulaire nanotopographic signalen, en het behoud van de functies van biologische moleculen ingekapseld binnen de nanofibers.
