Double-strandet RNA produsert under RNA-virus replikering kan bli gjenkjent av mønster anerkjennelse reseptorer å indusere en medfødte immunforsvaret. Negative-sense RNA virus, samspillet mellom lavt nivå dsRNA og PRRs er fortsatt uklart. Vi har utviklet en AC confocal mikroskopi metode for å visualisere arenavirus dsRNA og PRR i individuelle celler.
