Utilizando células epiteliales de próstata primarias humanas, informamos de un nuevo método libre de biomarcadores de caracterización funcional de células similares a tallos mediante un ensayo de retención de etiquetas basado en esferoides. Se describe un protocolo paso a paso para el etiquetado de celdas 2D BrdU, CFSE o Far Red; formación de esferoides tridimensionales; identificación celular similar a un tallo que retiene la etiqueta por inmunocitoquímica; y aislamiento por FACS.
