Een in vitro model systeem werd ontwikkeld om weefsel architectonische veranderingen vast te leggen tijdens long plaveisel carcinoom (LUSC) progressie in een 3-dimensionale (3D) co-cultuur met kanker-geassocieerde fibroblasten (CAFs). Dit organoïde systeem biedt een uniek platform om de rollen van diverse tumorcel-intrinsieke en extrinsieke veranderingen te onderzoeken die het tumorfenotype moduleren.
