Dit protocol beschrijft de robuuste generatie van macrofagen uit door de mens geïnduceerde pluripotente stamcellen, en methoden voor hun latere karakterisering. Celoppervlaktemarkerexpressie, genexpressie en functionele tests worden gebruikt om het fenotype en de functie van deze iPSC-afgeleide macrofagen te beoordelen.
