Traditionelle fototrombotiske slagtilfælde (PTS) modeller inducerer hovedsageligt tætte blodpladeaggregater med en høj modstandsdygtighed over for vævsplasminogenaktivator (tPA)-lytisk behandling. Her introduceres en modificeret murin PTS-model ved samtidig injektion af thrombin og lysfølsomt farvestof til fotoaktivering. Den trombinforstærkede PTS-model producerer blandede blodplader: fibrinpropper og er meget følsom over for tPA-trombolyse.
