Dit protocol beschrijft tubulinezuivering uit kleine/middelgrote bronnen zoals gekweekte cellen of enkele muizenhersenen, met behulp van polymerisatie- en depolymerisatiecycli. De gezuiverde tubuline is verrijkt in specifieke isotypes of heeft specifieke posttranslationele modificaties en kan worden gebruikt in in vitro reconstitutietesten om microtubulidynamiek en interacties te bestuderen.
