I denne artikel beskrives forsøgsprocedurerne for a) udtømning af U1 snRNP fra nukleare ekstrakter med deraf følgende tab af splejsning; og b) rekonstitution af splejsning aktivitet i U1-udtømte ekstrakt af galectin-3 - U1 snRNP partikler bundet til perler kovalent kombineret med anti-galectin-3 antistoffer.
