Der Verschluss eines offenen Foramen ovale (PFO) ist ein kathetergestützter Eingriff zur Vorbeugung eines PFO-assoziierten Schlaganfalls. Das PFO-Okklusionsgerät wird durch die Oberschenkelvene vorgeschoben und über das Vorhofseptum mittels transösophagealer Echokardiographie (TEE) und fluoroskopischer Kontrolle eingesetzt. Das folgende Protokoll bietet eine Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung für den PFO-Verschluss mit einer Doppelscheibenvorrichtung.
