Denne protokol har til formål at give detaljerede procedurer til indsamling, fiksering og vedligeholdelse af mycoheterotrofe planteprøver ved anvendelse af forskellige mikroskopiteknikker såsom scanning og transmissionselektronmikroskopi, lys-, konfokal og fluorescensmikroskopi for at studere svampekolonisering i plantevæv og frø spiret med mycorrhizal svampe.
