Hersenmetastase is een oorzaak van ernstige morbiditeit en mortaliteit bij kankerpatiënten. De meeste muismodellen voor hersenmetastasen worden gecompliceerd door systemische metastasen die de analyse van mortaliteit en therapeutische interventie-uitkomsten verstoren. Hier gepresenteerd is een protocol voor interne carotisinjectie van kankercellen dat consistente intracraniale tumoren produceert met minimale systemische tumoren.
