Talrijke studies hebben de voordelen van anatomische resectie aangetoond. Niettemin blijft de vraag of anatomische resectie de R0-resectiesnelheden kan verhogen, controversieel. Bijgevolg beschrijft deze studie een innovatieve procedure met het en bloc concept in combinatie met anatomische resectie in laparoscopische hepatectomie, die postoperatief recidief en metastase kan verminderen.
