Denne grisemodellen innebærer kirurgisk instrumentering, kvelning til hjertestans, gjenopplivning og observasjon etter gjenopplivning. Modellen åpner for multippel prøvetaking per dyr, og ved bruk av kontinuerlig invasivt arterielt blodtrykk, EKG og ikke-invasiv kardial utgangsovervåking gir den kunnskap om hemodynamikk og hjertepatofysiologi ved perinatal asfyksi og neonatal hjerte-lunge-redning.
