Dit artikel beschrijft een protocol om het proces te vereenvoudigen en de bereiding van autoloog geconditioneerd serum (ACS) goedkoper te maken. Er zijn geen speciale spuiten of glasparels met een oppervlaktecoating nodig. Bovendien heeft het gemodificeerde ACS (mACS) concurrentievoordelen ten opzichte van conventioneel autoloog serum in de hoornvlieswondgenezing van muriene ogen ex vivo.
