Die EpiMark 5-HMC und 5-mC Analysis Kit kann verwendet werden, um zu analysieren und zu quantifizieren 5-Methylcytosin und 5-Hydroxymethylcytosin innerhalb einer spe cific locus werden. Das Kit unterscheidet 5-mC von 5-HMC von der Zugabe von Glucose an die Hydroxylgruppe von 5-HMC über eine enzymatische Reaktion unter Verwendung von β-glucosyltransferase (T4-BGT). Als 5-HMC im Rahmen der CCGG auftritt, wandelt diese Modifikation eines spaltbaren MspI Ort zu einer nicht-spaltbare Website.
