Cel-gemedieerde lymphocytotoxicity (CML) testen kunnen worden gebruikt voor het autoreactieve reacties en onderzoek naar mechanismen van celdood in vitro test. Echter, met behulp van live-cell confocale microscopische beeldvorming technieken met fluorescente kleurstoffen, het type en de kinetiek van celdood en gebruik gemaakt van de paden worden bestudeerd in meer detail.
