Vi har udviklet en enkel, pålidelig og relativt billig fremgangsmåde til endotracheal i mus via direkte laryngoskopi hjælp af en otoskop med en 2,0 mm speculum. Denne teknik er atraumatisk og kan anvendes til gentagne målinger i kroniske forsøg. Vi finder det bedre at trakeostomi eller tidligere rapporterede ikke-kirurgiske teknikker.
