Efter isolering af fotoreceptorlaget (200 um) ved vibratome er fotoreceptorerne podes efter mekanisk og enzymatisk dissociation for kulturen. Fotoreceptorlaget kan anvendes til molekylære biokemiske analyser eller transplantation.
