De eiwitsamenstelling van de menselijke mitrale klep is nog steeds gedeeltelijk onbekend, omdat de analyse ervan gecompliceerd is door lage cellulariteit en derhalve door biosynthese met een lage eiwit. Dit werk biedt een protocol om eiwit efficiënt te extraheren voor de analyse van het mitrale klep proteome.
