Vi beskriver ett protokoll för prekliniska i vivo spårning av cancer metastaser. Den är baserad på en radionuklid-fluorescens reporter kombinerar den natrium jodid symporter, upptäcks av icke-invasiva [18F] tetrafluoroborat-PET, och en fluorescerande protein för strömlinjeformad ex vivo bekräftelse. Metoden är tillämplig för prekliniska i vivo cell tracking bortom tumörbiologi.
