Osteoclasten zijn weefsel-specifieke macrofagen polykaryons afgeleid van de monocyten-macrofagen afstamming van hematopoietische stamcellen. In dit protocol wordt beschreven hoe u beenmergcellen isoleren zodat grote hoeveelheden osteoclasten worden verkregen terwijl het risico op ongevallen in traditionele methoden wordt verminderd.
