Met behulp van humane primaire prostaat Epitheelcellen, rapporteren we een nieuwe biomarker-vrije methode van functionele karakterisering van stam-achtige cellen door een spheroid-gebaseerde label-retentie test. Een stap-voor-stap protocol wordt beschreven voor BrdU, CFSE of far Red 2D Cell labeling; driedimensionale spheroid-formatie; Label-behoud stam-achtige celidentificatie door immunocytochemie; en isolatie door FACS.
