De perceptie van de zwaartekracht wordt vaak bepaald door de subjectieve visuele verticale in het hoofd rechtop positie. De aanvullende beoordeling bij kopkantelen van ± 15° en ± 30° in het rolvlak zorgt voor een verhoogd informatiegehalte voor de detectie van verminderde graviceptieve waarneming.
