Ziel dieser Studie war es, ein murines Modell der Verbrennungswundung zu entwickeln. Eine thermische Verbrennung wurde auf der rückenden Haut von Mäusen mit einer vorgeheizten Messingschablone induziert. Verbranntes Gewebe wurde entbraut und mit einem Hauttransplantat überzogen, das vom Schwanz einer genetisch ähnlichen Spendermaus geerntet wurde.
