We beschrijven een aangepaste methode op basis van agar die is ontworpen om de antischimmeleffecten van plantaardige producten te kwantificeren. Zowel volatiele als niet-volatiele bijdragen aan de antischimmelactiviteit kunnen via dit protocol worden beoordeeld. Bovendien kan de werkzaamheid tegen schimmels worden gemeten in belangrijke ontwikkelingsstadia in één experimentele opstelling.
