Vi presenterer en protokoll for å konstruere et enkelt sporedistribusjonssystem bestående av en inokulasjonsboks med et ~ 50 μm nett og et gjennomsiktig plastkammer. Dette kan brukes til jevnt å inokulere planter med pulverformige muggsporer, og dermed muliggjøre nøyaktig og reproduserbar vurdering av sykdomsfenotyper av planter som studeres.
