We ontwikkelden een praktisch protocol en een analytische benadering om mitochondriale oxidatieve fosforylering en elektronenoverdrachtscapaciteit in verse tumorhomogenaten te evalueren. Dit protocol kan eenvoudig worden aangepast om verschillende mitochondriale functies te onderzoeken die bijdragen aan het initiëren, progressie en behandelingsrespons van kanker.
