Laparoscopie-endoscopie coöperatieve chirurgie is geschikt voor de behandeling van maag gastro-intestinale stromale tumoren kleiner dan 5 cm groot. Het kan de respectieve voordelen van endoscopische en laparoscopische operaties bereiken terwijl hun nadelen worden vermeden.
