Point of care ultralyd (POCUS) bruges i stigende grad i luftvejsstyring. Her præsenteres nogle kliniske hjælpeprogrammer af POCUS, herunder differentiering af endotracheal og esophageal intubation, identifikation af cricothyroidmembranen i tilfælde af en kirurgisk luftvej er påkrævet, og måling af blødt væv i forreste hals for at forudsige vanskelig luftvejsstyring.
