Hier beschrijven we een op immunofluorescentie gebaseerde methode om de niveaus van enkelstrengs DNA in cellen te kwantificeren. Deze efficiënte en reproduceerbare methode kan worden gebruikt om replicatiestress te onderzoeken, een gemeenschappelijk kenmerk bij verschillende eierstokkankers. Bovendien is deze test compatibel met een geautomatiseerde analysepijplijn, wat de efficiëntie verder verhoogt.
