Een eenvoudige procedure van vibratome snijden het orgaan van Corti, gevolgd door immunohistochemie en confocale microscopie is beschreven. Deze procedure zorgt voor een betere conservering van de fijne cytoarchitecture van de zoogdieren orgaan van Corti, en dus zorgt voor accurate kwantificering van celtypen.
