Een techniek om genetisch te manipuleren epitheelcellen binnen het gehele<em> Ex vivo</em> Gekweekte embryonale muis submandibulaire klieren (SMG) met behulp van virale gen-overdracht wordt beschreven. Deze methode maakt gebruik van het aangeboren vermogen van SMG epitheel en mesenchym spontaan recombineren na scheiding en infectie van epitheliale rudiments met adenovirale vectoren.
