Implantasjon av en biograft å behandle hjerteinfarkt indusert av LAD ligation i en gnager modellen har konvensjonelt kreves to åpen hjertekirurgi. For å redusere dødelighet og gi optimale betingelser for fiksering av faste og geleaktige biomatrices forbundet med cellene, har minimalt invasive prosedyrer blitt utviklet.
