De huidige prioriteit bij borstkanker radiotherapie is om cardiale doses te verminderen zonder afbreuk te doen aan onderzoeken weefsel dekking. De vrijwillige apneu techniek beschreven is een eenvoudige, goedkope oplossing voor dit probleem en kan op grote schaal ingesteld zonder de noodzaak van gespecialiseerde apparatuur.
