एक इमेजिंग-आधारित पद्धति वर्णित है कि S-चरण पहचानने और thymidine अनुरूप EdU का उपयोग कर C. एलिगेंस द्विलिंग germline में कक्ष चक्र गतिशीलता का विश्लेषण करने के लिए उपयोग किया जा सकता है । इस विधि कोई transgenes की आवश्यकता है और immunofluorescent धुंधला के साथ संगत है ।
