Basée sur l'ingénierie lentivirale in vitro des précurseurs neuronaux, leur co-transplantation dans des cerveaux de type sauvage et l'évaluation morphométrique appariée des dérivés « test » et « contrôle », cette méthode permet une modélisation précise du contrôle des gènes in vivo du néocortical morphologie neuronale d'une manière simple et abordable.
